1. Policy Statement

Roberts and Denny’s (London) Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) is committed to ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of all employees, contractors, visitors, and any other stakeholders engaged in our operations. We recognise that health and safety are integral to our business processes and essential for maintaining efficient operations and protecting our workforce. This policy adheres to all relevant UK health and safety legislation and is compliant with ISO 9001 standards.

2. Objectives

To establish a safe and healthy work environment, thereby preventing work-related injuries, ill health, and incidents.  

To comply fully with all applicable laws, regulations, and ISO 9001 standards related to health and safety.

To conduct risk assessments to identify hazards and implement appropriate control measures.  

To foster a culture of proactive health and safety awareness and accountability among all employees.  

To continuously improve our health and safety management system based on regular performance evaluations and feedback.

3. Scope

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, visitors, and any individuals interacting with Roberts and Denny’s (London) Ltd, and covers all operational activities, including transportation, storage, and office functions.

4. Commitment to Health and Safety

Legal Compliance: The Company will comply with all relevant UK health and safety legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and related regulations.  

Risk Management: Regular risk assessments will be conducted to identify and evaluate workplace hazards, ensuring appropriate mitigation measures are in place.  

Employee Training: The Company will provide employees with adequate training, resources, and information to facilitate safe work practices and enhance their awareness of health and safety obligations.  

Safety Procedures: We will establish and maintain clear safety procedures and protocols, regularly reviewing and updating them as necessary.  

Incident Reporting: All incidents, accidents, and near misses must be reported immediately. The Company will investigate incidents to prevent recurrence and improve safety practices.  

Emergency Preparedness: We will develop and communicate emergency action plans to prepare employees for potential emergency situations, conducting drills as necessary.

5. Responsibilities  

Management: Company management is responsible for implementing and supporting health and safety initiatives, providing necessary resources, and ensuring compliance with this policy.  

Employees: All employees are responsible for adhering to safety procedures, participating in training, and reporting unsafe conditions or practices.

6. Communication and Consultation

This policy will be communicated to all employees and will be made available to clients, contractors, and stakeholders. The Company encourages open communication regarding health and safety concerns and will involve employees in discussions about safety matters.

7. Performance Monitoring and Review

The effectiveness of this policy and related health and safety practices will be subject to regular monitoring and review. The policy will be reviewed annually or whenever significant changes to operations or legislation occur. 

8. Compliance and Consequences

Non-compliance with this policy may result in disciplinary action in accordance with Company procedures. All employees are expected to act responsibly and contribute to a safe working environment.
